Displaying events in posts and pages
In a post or a page, simply enter:
Where you enter this so called short code, your events will appear.
By default it wil display all your upcoming events. So as soon as an event date lies in the past, the event will disappear. But of course you can change this behavior.
Display only expired events
To change this output, you can use the age specifier. This allows you to do 2 things:
This wil display all events that happened in the past.
Display all events
This wil display all events, both the upcoming and the expired events.
Display only a few events, not all
The limit specifier allows you to limit the number of events that are being displayed.
This wil display only 3 events.
Display only related events
It’s also possible to display only events that are on a certain topic or in a certain group. To do so, you have to give your events a label. By adding a label to an event you can later just recall all the events that have that particular label.
This will only display events that have the label photography assigned to it.
Only display the start time of an event
Some events just need to get started and end whenever it’s over. In that case, you giving the starting time and date would be sufficient.
This removes the end time of an event and will only show you when the events start.
Do not display the time
And when you’re not sure about the exact times of the event, or they don’t really matter:
This will remove the time and only display the start and end date of the event.
